Web Accessibility Developer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Accessibility Developer to help ensure our digital products meet WCAG 2.2 AA and ADA compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development skills along with a deep understanding of web accessibility best practices, testing tools, and assistive technologies.

Responsibilities:

Perform accessibility audits on websites, applications, and digital content using automated and manual testing tools (e.g., Axe DevTools, WAVE, ARC Toolkit, Lighthouse, NVDA, VoiceOver).
Remediate accessibility issues in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA implementations.
Provide detailed audit reports with WCAG conformance, severity levels, and actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with design and development teams to integrate accessibility into the project lifecycle.
Educate internal teams on accessibility standards and best practices.
Conduct one round of retesting after fixes have been implemented to validate compliance.

Requirements:

Proven experience in web accessibility and front-end development.
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, and Section 508 standards.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA roles/attributes.
Experience with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation testing.
Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and browser dev tools.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
