Role Overview:
We are looking for responsible and driven software engineers who will work as independent contractors on various projects. As a contractor with Talroo, you will operate independently to:
Location: Remote (India, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan)
Type: Independent Contractor (Software Engineering)
- Design, develop, and maintain AI Applications. This requires familiarity with Data Engineering on Spark, as well as Machine Learning using Deep Learning and NLP.
- Design and develop Mobile Apps on iOS and Android
- Coordinate with our U.S.-based team to fulfill project requirements.
- Ensure software quality through code reviews.
- Implement, document, and maintain best practices in software development.
- Excellent contractors may receive an invitation to switch to full-time employee status and relocate to the US after 2 years of contractor service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative solutions on top of the existing highest industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly.
- Engage in regular communication and review meetings with our team to ensure project alignment.
- Ensure the company has the properly trained staff to operate on the system developed. This may include documentation and training.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Spark, SQL, Tensorflow/PyTorch, and verbal English communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Exposure and understanding of Spark data warehouse design and development.
- Familiarity with MVC and OOP architecture.
- Experience working in an AWS/Linux environment.
- Familiarity with algorithms and algorithmic complexity.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Access to a stable high-speed internet connection and a professional workspace
- Provisioning of your work equipment
- Available for regular work review meetings with members of technical and leadership teams
- Proficient Verbal and Written English Skills
Note: The selected and onboarded contractor will be paid directly in USD via remittance
