• Mount and install servers, firewalls, and other required devices at customer locations.
  • Ensure proper setup and configuration of hardware for optimal performance.
  • Responsible for the cabling of servers, ensuring proper organization and connectivity.
  • Tag cables appropriately to ensure easy identification and management.
  • Perform basic installation of operating systems and required software on customer servers.
  • Ensure proper configuration of software to meet customer requirements.
  • Create detailed reports and documentation on installations, configurations, and system setups.
  • Ensure all necessary records are kept for future reference and troubleshooting.
  • Regularly visit customer premises for hardware and software installations or troubleshooting.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers, resolving issues and offering solutions to enhance system performance.
  • Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to arrange remote support sessions when needed.
  • Assist with basic virtualization configurations and support.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of firewall setups, network configurations, and endpoint security.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of endpoint security solutions, ensuring devices are adequately protected.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth deployment and efficient troubleshooting process.
  • Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, including hardware installation and network configuration.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization, firewalls, networking, and endpoint security.
  • Basic knowledge of server OS installation and configuration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications related to networking (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) or virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with various endpoint security tools.
  • Experience working with OEMs for troubleshooting and support.
