Senior Geologist

We are seeking a highly experienced Exploration Geologist to lead and execute mineral exploration projects, focusing on the identification and evaluation of metal deposits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geological surveying, geochemical and geophysical analysis, and resource estimation, with extensive experience in metallic mineral exploration (e.g., copper, gold, aluminum, or other base and precious metals).

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and oversee geological work, including mapping, sampling, and drilling programs to identify and evaluate mineral resources.
Analyze and interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to generate exploration targets.
Design and implement exploration strategies, ensuring cost-effective and efficient mineral prospecting.
Utilize remote sensing, GIS, and 3D modeling software to assess deposit potential.
Assist teams of geologists on site, field technicians, and contractors, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
Collaborate with mining engineers, geophysicists, and metallurgists to assess the feasibility of mining operations.
Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Stay updated on global exploration trends, deposit models, and new technologies in mineral exploration.
Ensure compliance with local mining laws, environmental policies, and occupational safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on metallic ore deposits.
Though not required, but proficiency in GIS, 3D modeling, and geostatistical software (e.g., ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Surpac, or Micromine) will be preferred.
Experience with geochemical and geophysical survey techniques.
Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for technical reporting and stakeholder presentations.
Willingness to work in remote locations with extensive fieldwork and travel requirements.
