You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the storehouse, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, tools, and products required for smooth production and business operations. The role involves maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with various departments for efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and operations.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to identify discrepancies or shortages.
  • Maintain accurate records of all materials received, stored, and issued using inventory management systems.

2. Material Handling

  • Oversee the proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials to minimize damage and ensure quick retrieval.
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of goods and ensure safe handling practices.
  • Ensure materials are stored in compliance with quality and safety standards.

3. Procurement Coordination

  • Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely replenishment of stocks.
  • Provide accurate inventory data to assist in material forecasting and budgeting.

4. Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Maintain detailed records of stock transactions, including goods received notes (GRNs), issue slips, and material return notes.
  • Generate periodic reports on stock status, movement, and aging for management review.

5. Supervision and Leadership

  • Lead and supervise a team of store personnel, including helpers, warehouse staff, and clerks.
  • Assign tasks, provide training, and evaluate team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within the store operations.

6. Coordination with Departments

  • Work closely with the production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to meet material requirements.
  • Facilitate the issuance of materials to production as per job cards or requisitions.

7. Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure the store adheres to workplace safety regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee fire safety equipment and emergency procedures in the store.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational and statutory standards.

8. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve storage practices and inventory management processes.
  • Implement systems for waste reduction and efficiency enhancement.
