Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of chemical and physical tests on textile products (fabrics, yarns, dyes, etc.) following set industry standards.
- Analyze textile properties such as strength, colorfastness, shrinkage, and composition using laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in the textile testing process.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards and technological advancements in textile testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Chemistry or related field, (Preferable NTU).
- Strong understanding of textile testing methods and equipment.
- Familiarity with international textile standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and report writing abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in testing and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a textile testing laboratory.
- Knowledge of ISO 172025.
- Hands-on experience with textile testing instruments such as spectrophotometers, AAS and colorfastness machines.
