Wordpress Backend Developer

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated WordPress Developer to join our IT team. This role focuses primarily on back-end development, including the creation of custom WordPress themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current industry trends and content management systems, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, responsive websites that align with business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient web solutions that enhance user experience and meet technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features and functionalities for WordPress websites.
- Establish and maintain the website’s architecture to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Manage all technical aspects to ensure high performance and availability of the CMS.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create effective, responsive designs and translate them into functional themes and plugins.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of back-end technologies, including JavaScript and jQuery.
- Experience in building user interfaces for websites and web applications.
- Proven ability to design and develop responsive websites that work seamlessly across multiple devices.
- Proficiency with debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Inspector.
- Ability to interpret CSS changes and understand their impact on consistent styling across different platforms and browsers.
- Skilled in converting detailed layouts and wireframes into functional HTML pages.
- Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs and handling data formats like JSON and XML.
- Experience with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial.
- Strong expertise in PHP back-end development.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in WordPress development or a similar role.
