Under the overall supervision of the Minister-in-Charge/Minister of State and the concerned Secretary, the Digital FDI Expert, SPPS-II Scale shall be responsible for carrying out the following tasks for the Ministry of IT and Telecom and its allied Organizations/ Departments/Corporations/Companies:

  • He/she will prepare export investment proposals and will also vet all investment proposals and assist in developing investment projects.
  • He/she will identify investment potential in the IT and Telecom sector focused on national needs and sustainability.
  • He/she will coordinate with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), World Economic Forum (WEF) to develop digital foreign direct investment (FDI) proposals in collaboration with DCO members and other stakeholders.
  • Preparation of investment proposals for international markets.
  • Study the latest global and regional IT and Telecom related Best Practices with special focus on countries with similar socio-economic backgrounds in the field of IT and Telecom and propose the relevant guidelines with customized implementation strategies for the local industry to attract foreign direct investment.
  • Stakeholder engagement and preparation of communication strategy.
  • Any other task as and when assigned by the Ministry.

Qualification:

  • MBA or Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Commerce/investment/trade/finance/economics from an HEC-recognized local or international university of high ranking.

Experience:

  • Minimum Eight (8) year of professional experience in the relevant field in public or private sector.

The candidate’s professional credentials should include the following:

  • Experience in managing investment portfolio
  •  Understanding of the national and international trade laws, rules, regulations, policies and regulatory framework for investment
  • Proven Track Record of Effective Engagement with international investment fora
  • Ability to develop export led international strategy for the IT and Telecom Sector
  • Excellent Writing and Editing Skills
  • Analytical and Reporting Capabilities.
  • Ability to Work in a Team Environment
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Envisaging and formulating project proposals pertaining to the ICT Sector in collaboration with related international and/or regional organizations. Ability to engage relevant stakeholders in the public and private sector
