We're looking for a strategic thinker who can drive business growth, improve supply chain efficiency, and develop strong relationships with suppliers.

The Category Executive - Basic Commodities will be responsible for managing the procurement process for basic commodities. The successful candidate will develop and implement category strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Management:

  1. Develop and execute category strategies for basic commodities, including market analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency.
  3. Analyze market trends, customer insights, and sales data to inform category decisions.

Supplier Management:

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including contract negotiation, performance management, and issue resolution.
  2. Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement joint business plans, including category growth initiatives and supply chain optimization projects.

Procurement:

  1. Manage the procurement process for basic commodities, including RFP development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  2. Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement procurement strategies, including category management, supplier rationalization, and cost reduction initiatives. 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and market research.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in supplier management and negotiation.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Certification in supply chain management, procurement, or category management.
  2. Experience with procurement software and systems.
