The Surgical Section Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the production of surgical instruments and equipment. This role ensures that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, meet regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and processes to meet customer demands and business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, track stock levels, and optimize inventory turnover to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, such as FDA, ISO 13485, and CE marking.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to ensure the production department operates within budget.
  • Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and R&D, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot production issues, resolve problems, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and management
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team management and development
