Assistant Surveyor

SMEC is looking for a skilled Assistant Surveyor to join a prestigious hydropower project based in Lower Kohistan, KPK. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to a major infrastructure development within a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in surveying and topographical assessments, with hands-on experience supporting large-scale civil engineering projects, especially in the hydropower sector. You will work closely with experienced professionals to ensure precise survey data collection and assist construction activities in remote and challenging locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting land and topographic surveys under the supervision of the Surveyor.
- Support the establishment of control points and alignments critical for construction operations.
- Accurately record and maintain site data and field notes to uphold data integrity.
- Operate basic surveying instruments such as Total Station and GPS with guidance.
- Perform fundamental calculations and data processing to aid survey tasks efficiently.
- Ensure proper handling, care, and maintenance of all survey equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to project guidelines during all fieldwork activities.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related discipline.
- At least 1-2 years of practical experience in surveying, preferably within hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Basic understanding of surveying principles and familiarity with common surveying equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
