We are seeking a creative and talented Senior Python Developer to join our team. They will be responsible for creating and working on an exciting new desktop app using Django Python and Next TypeScript.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Develop multi-tier web applications for customers using open-source technologies; envisioning system features and functionality
- Design, develop, maintain and enhance systems based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards
- Collaborate with various departments to gather accurate specifications for new enhancements and applications
- Monitor and optimise systems to ensure the best performance
- Translate requirements and use cases into technical designs and functional code
- Create and present multiple technical solutions that show thoughtful approaches to strategy and issue resolution
- Maintaining web development documentation
- Act as a mentor to other developers
Requirements:
- Must have experience with web app frameworks Django and Next
- Must have a good understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as NextJS TypeScript
- Familiarity with database technologies (PostgreSQL and MySQL), and Datamodelling experience (ER diagrams)
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
- Familiarity with design principles and tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Data migration, transformation, and scripting
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Familiar with Docker and architecture best practices
