British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for an Area Finance Analyst BP in Bucharest. This is a fixed term opportunity.

Based in Bucharest and reporting to the Area Finance Manager Business Partner as part of the New Categories Corporate Finance Team, Area Finance Analyst BP is required to provide transactional support and reporting to assist with the reporting and control of the results of Nicoventures Trading Limited (NVT).

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Provision of transactional accounting support to DRBUs ensuring transactions are posted correctly and have the adequate back up information within LRD business model
  • Adhering to the governance for intra-group recharges and execute the intra-group recharges (including LRD adjustments) in a timely and accurate manner, resolve any queries raised by DRBUs
  • Assisting with ad-hoc requests from the markets to fulfil the local legal, fiscal and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with questions from external and internal auditors
  • Supporting new market set up in BPC/ECC supporting master data set-up and supporting end markets where business model changes require adaptation in reporting e.g. customer discounting, licensed model markets etc.
  • Working as part of a cross-functional team i.e. IT, end markets and centre operations functions to complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from an NVT perspective for market launches, ensuring finance sign off for systems changes for all cross-functional projects
  • Assisting management in new market launches with items like pricing conditions for third party models, transfer pricing, and contractual review
  • Calculating the BSSA quarterly accrual and recharge and advise Area Finance Business partner of any identified write-offs

What are we looking for?

  • Degree educated with, preferably, professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • A good understanding of group and corporate finance principles/experience and ability to deliver commercial insights in a rapidly evolving area of the business
  • Ability to manage a high volume of data and present in a simple, innovative and impactful way using all current systems to simplify and automate information management. i.e SAP or similar ERP
  • Ability to work independently managing stakeholders across a wide range of location and markets
  • Works as a team player, collaborating with others to achieve results for the business
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required to influence and challenge.
  • Advanced English
  • Good knowledge of SAP/ BPC/ BI
