Oak Business Consultant, a prominent financial and management consulting firm, is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Officer to join our expanding team. This role is essential in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and effectively communicating how our customized financial and business solutions deliver value. The successful candidate will proactively generate leads, manage the entire sales cycle, and maintain a client-focused approach to ensure smooth collaboration with our consulting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Qualification:
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold outreach, and referrals. Maintain a robust sales pipeline by consistently advancing prospects while assessing their needs and compatibility with our services.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
Conduct in-depth discovery calls and meetings to understand clients’ financial and business challenges and objectives. Develop and sustain long-term relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor dedicated to client success.

Consultative Solution Development & Presentation:
Effectively communicate Oak Business Consultant’s value proposition, customizing presentations to address specific client requirements. Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and sales materials that highlight customer benefits. Manage objections and negotiate terms to secure agreements that benefit both parties.

Sales Cycle Management & Target Achievement:
Oversee the full sales process from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring a transparent and client-friendly experience. Implement strategic sales plans to consistently meet or exceed targets. Keep accurate records of sales activities and client interactions within the CRM system.

Market Insight & Collaboration:
Stay informed about market trends, competitor actions, and industry developments to uncover new business opportunities. Work closely with consulting and marketing teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals and client needs.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of proven B2B business development or sales experience, ideally within consulting, financial services, or professional services, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Solid understanding of business consulting principles and financial concepts such as financial modeling, business planning, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with mid to senior-level executives.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills paired with a customer service mindset.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on delivering client-centric solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to a customer-focused approach in business development.
