We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to join our freight forwarding company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial operations including preparing vendor payments, posting customer receipts, managing sales tax returns, managing administration tasks and ensuring timely and accurate withholding tax compliance. This role plays a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting tax and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and process vendor and supplier payments in accordance with company policies and payment schedules.
Post customer receipts and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
Manage monthly and quarterly sales tax return filings, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
Calculate, deduct, and deposit withholding tax as per regulatory requirements.
Maintain records of all tax-related transactions and prepare supporting documents for tax audits.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data and explanations.
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment and receipt issues.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation as needed.
Scan and digitize financial documents such as receipts, payment vouchers and organize & index it for quick retrieval.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a finance or accounts role, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations, especially sales tax and withholding tax.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
High attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
