Chun On Global Logistics (PVT) LTD started its Pakistan business operations in October 2006.
The Company is a Joint Venture and subsidiary of Chun On Investments LTD which is a 115 Years Old private and discreet Business House headquartered in Hong Kong. Chun On Investments was founded in 1895 by Mr. Chau Shao Qi, the father of Sir Chau Jun Nian (Knighted by the British Empire as QBE. Chun On Investment Company limited was the 33rd registered Company formed since the history of Hong Kong and its sister concern Kowloon Land and loan Co. LTD was founded in 1899 being the 38th registered company. Chau family and its establishment directly contributed to Hong Kong�s development and growth as a world class city which is commercially and politically known as a economic powerhouse. Some of the initial investment in the business enterprises were acquired by Multi-national companies and transformed into today's successful publicly listed Blue Chip conglomerates of the world stock exchanges in which the group still holds the founding shares. The Companies current business activities includes Investments, Shipping, Trading, Infrastructure Development, Alternate Energy and Real Estate.
The Joint venture was formed to fulfill the Parent company's vision to Expand and Exist in South East Asia, Middle-East and Africa.
Chun On Global Logistics (PVT) LTD as a Company in Pakistan started with a small setup as a Freight Forwarder and logistics Provider. The company starts providing its services to major Textile Industry assisting them to acquire the best and cheaper shipping services. The company has a global network of well re-knowned International Shipping Services company and Freight forwarder Service Providers as its strategic partners bestowing its services to the clients in the country of import.
Chun On Global Logistics (PVT) LTD has expanded its domain and started providing shipping services to the Cement industry in the Year 2007 and then further expanded to tap the Export potential of Cement by forming its own Trading Division to bring in Clients for cement Industry. Chun On has the credit for being the first few companies in Pakistan to establish Cement trade in Non-Traditional Markets such as India and African Continent.
Chun On Global has also started helping the Cement industry in major cost cutting efforts in order to gain edge in the competitive World and recently started invested and started importing Good quality Coal in much cheaper prices from Indonesia and South Africa thus providing cheap energy solutions for the Cement Industry.
Chun On Global has assisted in growing/enhancing the Pakistan's Cement Export sector by helping and assisting the Cement and Textile Industries in Cost cutting measures by bringing in New clients and providing Cheaper shipping services & timely delivery of products to its buyer/clients. Started with containerized services and transformed into Break Bulk vessels.
Chun On Global since its existence has helped/assisted the export industry by sending thousands of Containers to Europe, USA, India, Middle-East and Africa and within a short span of time has the credit to provide chartering services to Cement Industry and its Client and so far has bring in over 28 Vessels to supply and export Cement and Clinker in Break Bulk.
This gives an opportunity to acquire the Shipping License which will enable Chun On to bring Chartered Vessels under its own name and Chun On Global is also in the process of Final negotiations to bring a brand new Shipping line services to Pakistan and will become the Ship Liner Services Company.
Chun On Global to remain focused and provide excellent services to clients globally has recently formed a brand new company as Chun On Jubilee International as its trading Arm to handle Cement Exports from Pakistan and today Chun On as brand takes the credit of being the Exclusive Sales mandate of Bestway Cement Limited and become its export partner. Chun On's is currently exporting cement to India, Seychelles, Maldives, UAE, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, Congo, Conakry Island and still adding new countries to its export domain.
