You will play a crucial role in our operations by building and maintaining relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery of freight. This position requires strong sales skills and a passion for the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure capacity and service levels.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our carrier network.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to carriers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records of carrier interactions and transactions.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience in truck dispatch or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate knowledge of the transportation industry is a plus.
