Key Responsibilities:

SEO Strategy Development:

  • Create and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
  • Research and identify opportunities for organic search growth.

Keyword Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct extensive keyword research to identify high-traffic, low-competition keywords relevant to the business.
  • Use SEO tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to analyze search trends.

On-Page SEO:

  • Optimize website content, including meta tags (title, description), headers, and on-page copy for target keywords.
  • Ensure proper keyword placement and optimization of URLs, internal linking, and image tags.

Off-Page SEO:

  • Build high-quality backlinks through outreach, guest blogging, and partnerships.
  • Manage external link-building efforts to improve domain authority.

Technical SEO:

  • Ensure the website’s technical structure is optimized for search engines (e.g., crawlability, mobile-friendliness, and fast loading times).
  • Address issues like broken links, page speed, and XML sitemaps.

Content Optimization:

  • Work closely with content teams to ensure SEO best practices are incorporated into writing, editing, and publishing.
  • Perform ongoing content analysis, suggesting updates or new content creation for better ranking.

SEO Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track, report, and analyze website performance and keyword rankings using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms.
  • Provide actionable insights based on data to continually improve SEO efforts.

Stay Updated on SEO Trends:

  • Keep abreast of Google algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Experiment with emerging SEO techniques, tools, and platforms.

Competitor Analysis:

  • Analyze competitors’ SEO strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.

Collaboration:

  • Work with developers, content creators, and marketing teams to implement SEO recommendations.
  • Communicate technical SEO issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills:

SEO Tools Proficiency:

  • Deep knowledge of SEO platforms like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website architecture.

Content Understanding:

  • Knowledge of how content drives SEO and experience in optimizing for both users and search engines.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical SEO issues.

Ideal Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • 4 years + of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with web development and UX/UI principles is a plus.
