BID MANAGEMENT

  • Set up bid folders
  • Download & print drawings & specifications (search for Specs if not clear or on drawings); Print RCP, Phasing Drawings
  • List Special Requests from General Contractor (eg, breakouts)
  • Notify Client that we are bidding and/or attending walkthrough (check with PM)
  • Prepare Bid Request Sheet
  • Follow-up with PM and send out to Subs & Suppliers
  • Follow-up with Sub & Supplier Quotes the day before the bid
  • Fill out bid documentation and forms as required
  • Asks preliminary questions to NON-CTM Clients to assist Project Managers to properly assess the opportunities
  • Is there WBE required?
  • Is this your project or are you bidding against others?
  • Notify Client that we are bidding and/or attending walkthrough (check with PM)

ESTIMATING

  • Review project completely and outline specifications & drawings of specifics that affect our work
  • Takeoff project as directed
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids with project requirements
  • Prepare proposal
  • Clearly communicate with PM

 AUTOCAD 2-D:

  • Minimum 1 year experience using AutoCAD 2-D.
  • Additional certifications are preferred.
  • Review field markups for projects and make changes to mechanical CAD drawings as shown on markups.

Estimating

  • Understand and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good understanding of reading blueprints, Architectural and Mechanical.
  • Learn and train in Mechanical Systems and how they work.
  • Learns and investigates project specifics to accurately assemble an estimate.
