Manager- Oracle Developer

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Manager- Oracle Developer to lead and oversee a talented team of Oracle developers. This role requires a strong background in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports, combined with the ability to manage and mentor a small team of two professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Unix/Linux scripting, PL/SQL performance tuning, and design strategies for relational databases. As the Manager- Oracle Developer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation and optimization of Oracle-based applications to support the companys objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team towards achieving innovative solutions while also identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Oracle developers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure successful project completion and team development.
Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications, utilizing PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports to meet business requirements efficiently.
Implement and oversee performance tuning of PL/SQL code and database queries to achieve optimal system performance and responsiveness.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and oversee the development of appropriate solutions.
Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and development standards within the team.
Develop and maintain effective documentation including technical specifications, user manuals, and system guides to support team projects.
Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and ensure that deliverables meet established deadlines and quality standards.
Identify areas for improvement within existing processes and systems, proposing strategic enhancements that align with organizational goals.
Utilize Unix/Linux scripting to automate processes and improve the efficiency of daily operations and database management tasks.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Oracle technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continually enhance the team's skill set and project outcomes.
