The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, analytical, proficient in Microsoft Office, and comfortable working independently to meet multiple deadlines.

Primary responsibilities include:

Prepare monthly accounting close for multiple properties to include account reconciliations, accrual entries, and variance analysis.
Monitor capital expenditures and prepare accrual and amortization entries.
Assist in the coordination and preparation of the annual budget process.
Process credit applications as requested by the property management team.
Prepare annual CAM, real estate tax, and insurance recovery reconciliations.
Complete accounting close-out work for tenant move-outs and terminations.
Assist with occasional ad-hoc projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant (CA) or Finalist.
Minimum of 2-4 years accounting experience.
Strong grip on IAS, IFRS & Taxation Prínciples.
Experience in the commercial real estate industry.
Strong understanding of financial income statements and balance sheets.
Ability to read and interpret a commercial lease agreement.
Proficient in Excel.
Experience using accounting software to perform journal entries and financial statement report analysis.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical and time management skills.
Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
