As a Project Manager in the Solar Industry at Halo Crew, you play a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of solar projects. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that each project aligns with the company's strategic objectives while maintaining a focus on quality, timeline, and budget adherence. You are responsible for creating detailed project plans that encompass timelines, resource allocation, and budget constraints, while also ensuring compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements. Your strong communication skills enable you to maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring transparency and fostering trust throughout the project lifecycle. Although you do not manage a team, you will coordinate efforts among various professionals including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to align everyone's contributions with the project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans that specify timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for solar projects.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce comprehensive reports to evaluate project feasibility and align with company goals.
  • Lead the coordination of project teams, ensuring effective communication and task assignment among engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Identify potential risks to project success and formulate strategies to mitigate them, including potential challenges related to permits, weather conditions, and supply chain issues.
  • Review project designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit applications for Homeowners Association (HOA) approvals, permits, and utility interconnections to facilitate project advancement.
  • Communicate effectively with installers, calculating material requirements and coordinating material delivery to align with installation schedules.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Oversee the commissioning process, scheduling final inspections with relevant city, county, or township authorities and utilities.
  • Request permission to operate from the utility following successful system installation and inspection.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, tracking costs, and implementing necessary adjustments to remain within financial constraints.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts to provide insights into project financial health.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project records, including milestones, permits, and contracts, to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Proactively resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to address conflicts, delays, or technical challenges effectively.
