The Diabetes Centre Islamabad is looking for a committed and experienced Head of Nursing Services to lead its nursing team at the Bharakahu location. This leadership role involves managing nursing staff assignments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and driving continuous improvement within the nursing unit. The successful candidate will maintain a motivated and efficient care team, conduct daily rounds to monitor care standards and cleanliness, and address any conflicts or crises promptly in patient areas. This position demands a proactive approach to staff development, resource management, and quality enhancement, all while upholding the centre’s dedication to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize nursing team rotas, assignments, and supervision to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
- Promote ongoing quality improvement initiatives in patient care processes.
- Support staff development and manage human and material resources effectively.
- Build and sustain an efficient, motivated, and effective nursing team.
- Conduct daily rounds to verify quality care delivery and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to conflicts or crises in patient care areas.
- Report all incidents and cases to the Nurse Manager in a timely manner.
- Assign nursing staff based on patient needs and individual competencies.
- Counsel underperforming staff and provide remedial support to improve performance.
- Collaborate on quality improvement projects to enhance unit processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing license with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) registration.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including 2 to 3 years in a nursing management role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation.

Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities in both Urdu and English.
- Professional handling of difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or other stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Capacity to work independently, demonstrate creativity, pay close attention to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
