We are looking for two experienced IT Accountants with a strong specialization in Financial Consolidation and expert-level knowledge of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) at the administrator level. Based in Islamabad within Telenor Shared Services Pakistan’s Finance & Procurement Tribe, these roles report directly to the Director Record to Report. The successful candidates will be instrumental in managing and enhancing the Telenor Group’s financial consolidation and reporting applications on the Oracle Cloud EPM platform. This position offers a unique blend of IT and accounting expertise, supporting critical financial operations and the upcoming implementation of ESG reporting using Oracle EPM.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor financial data to detect and resolve errors before they impact end users, ensuring data accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality control checklists to support timely and precise financial reporting across Telenor Shared Services, Business Units, and Group Units.
- Serve as a bridge between IT and accounting teams, facilitating collaboration to enhance stakeholder value.
- Engage in FCC-related discussions and projects with TSS and Group Accounting, driving continuous improvements in the financial close and consolidation processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for financial close and consolidation, managing the Group’s financial consolidation and reporting applications.
- Maintain and support the ESG reporting solution on Oracle EPM Cloud, including updating and managing master data hierarchies for Group reporting.
- Implement functional changes and ensure data reconciliation between applications and source systems, tracking and documenting all vendor system updates.
- Recommend and apply best practices to optimize workflows and system configurations, ensuring compliance with evolving IFRS reporting standards.
- Align system functionalities with business needs and finance best practices, staying informed on Oracle EPM Cloud advancements and suggesting relevant updates.
- Develop and maintain user guides, SOPs, and technical documentation; provide training to finance and IT teams to maximize Oracle EPM Cloud capabilities.
- Ensure thorough maintenance and documentation of system configurations, test cases, and development/test environments.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, proactively managing system vulnerabilities to minimize risks.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CA finalist, ACCA member, or ICMA qualification.
- Strong corporate accounting knowledge with expertise in IFRS.
- Comprehensive understanding of legislation and international standards related to corporate accounting and financial consolidation in multinational listed entities.
- Extensive knowledge of financial reporting processes in large corporations.
- Excellent working knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM / Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC).
- Functional experience with Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM), FCC/Task Manager, EPM Automate, and Cloud EPM Data Management.
- Ability and willingness to efficiently handle design, development, maintenance, and error resolution tasks under pressure.
