Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance and operations. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of essential systems such as HVAC, generators, electrical systems, hot water boilers, and fire fighting pumps. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving maintenance issues, managing budgets, leading a maintenance team, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. This position demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent problem-solving abilities to support the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain all hotel infrastructure, including HVAC systems, generators, electrical installations, hot water boilers, and fire fighting pumps. Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of equipment and systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets. Proactively identify potential issues and address them before they escalate into costly disruptions.

Oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services while maintaining high-quality standards. Manage vendor relationships to secure timely delivery and competitive pricing.

Lead and supervise the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively.

Coordinate and oversee project management activities related to maintenance and asset management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Respond promptly to emergency situations, ensuring swift resolution while adhering to all safety policies and regulatory codes. Maintain compliance with all relevant safety standards to protect guests, staff, and property.

Utilize building management systems and maintenance software to monitor performance, schedule tasks, and generate reports. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve maintenance operations.

Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to handle complex maintenance challenges and support hotel operations.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience managing hotel maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Strong technical knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement maintenance schedules and manage budgets effectively. Experience in vendor management and procurement processes.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide maintenance staff. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Proficiency in building management systems and maintenance software tools. Sound understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
