Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Residential Solar Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the residential solar market. You will engage directly with potential customers, educate them on the benefits of solar energy, and guide them through the sales process from initial contact to contract closure. This position requires a proactive approach to lead generation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and actively pursue new residential solar sales opportunities through various channels including door-to-door visits, referrals, social media outreach, and networking events.
- Generate and qualify leads by engaging potential customers and conducting site visits to perform basic load assessments and evaluate project feasibility.
- Educate homeowners on the advantages and long-term benefits of solar energy systems, helping them understand how solar can meet their energy needs and reduce costs.
- Prepare and present tailored solar proposals and quotations that align with the specific requirements and preferences of each homeowner.
- Negotiate contract terms effectively and close sales to consistently meet or exceed set targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction post-installation and providing support as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the technical and design teams to confirm accurate system sizing and layout, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Track and document all sales activities, customer interactions, and feedback using CRM or other reporting tools to maintain organized records and support sales strategy.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in solar technology, pricing structures, government incentives, and market trends to provide up-to-date information to customers.
- Participate in ongoing sales training, industry exhibitions, and promotional events to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and their benefits specifically for residential customers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse customer groups.
- Ability to conduct field visits and perform basic site assessments to evaluate solar project feasibility.
- Self-motivated with a strong sales drive and a target-oriented mindset to achieve consistent results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using CRM or other sales reporting software for tracking and managing sales activities.
- Basic knowledge of net metering policies, local energy regulations, and solar incentives is highly desirable.
