Project Coordinator – Junior Role

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful planning and execution of projects from initiation through to delivery. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Product Management, to ensure projects meet deadlines, stay within scope, and align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, a foundational understanding of project management methodologies, and a technical aptitude that enables effective collaboration with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the comprehensive planning and coordination of projects, ensuring smooth progress from project initiation to final delivery.
- Monitor project timelines and milestones, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders on progress and any potential risks or delays.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Data Engineering, QA, and Product to align project objectives and resolve issues promptly.
- Schedule, organize, and facilitate project meetings, accurately document decisions made, and track follow-up actions to ensure accountability.
- Support risk management by identifying potential issues, tracking risks, and helping to implement mitigation strategies. Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, and communication logs, to ensure transparency and effective client communication.

Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, with the ability to adapt to different project environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and coordinate across multiple teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Trello, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.
- Exposure to or a keen interest in Data Engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and cloud platforms.
- A technical background or prior experience working alongside engineering teams, enabling a better understanding of technical requirements and challenges.
- Familiarity with development and data tools such as Git, SQL, and cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
