Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Field Data Collection Supervisor to oversee and execute comprehensive survey activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting field-based data entry, ensuring data accuracy through error correction, and managing data uploads. This role requires proficiency in both traditional Paper and Pencil Interviewing (PAPI) and modern Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) methods. The successful candidate will also lead large survey teams and carry out various field tasks including village surveys, mapping, household listing, and multi-purpose household surveys.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate and timely field-based data entry, ensuring all collected data is properly recorded and uploaded to the central database.
- Identify and correct errors in survey data to maintain high-quality datasets.
- Utilize both PAPI and CAPI survey modalities effectively, adapting to the requirements of each survey project.
- Lead and manage large teams of survey enumerators and field staff, providing guidance, motivation, and support to ensure smooth survey operations.
- Execute village-level surveys, including detailed mapping and household listing exercises, to gather comprehensive demographic and geographic information.
- Conduct multi-purpose household surveys, collecting diverse data sets as required by project objectives.
- Coordinate logistics and fieldwork schedules to maximize efficiency and data collection quality.
- Ensure adherence to survey protocols and ethical standards during all field activities.
- Collaborate with data management and analysis teams to facilitate seamless data flow from collection to processing stages.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in field data collection, preferably within large-scale survey projects.
- Strong familiarity with both PAPI and CAPI survey techniques and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead sizable field teams effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in data entry and error correction processes.
