Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive KYC Analyst to join our compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Know Your Customer (KYC) renewals and conducting risk-based reviews to ensure regulatory compliance. This role involves evaluating and verifying client information, managing risk assessments, and maintaining accurate client records. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct KYC renewals and risk-based reviews for both new and existing clients, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Evaluate, verify, and document KYC data, maintaining comprehensive records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and update client risk profiles accordingly.
- Investigate high-risk clients, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and escalate concerns to the appropriate compliance officers when necessary.
- Liaise with internal departments and external customers to resolve KYC-related queries and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Stay informed about changes in AML policies, banking products, and relevant regulatory developments to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to prepare and manage Management Information System (MIS) reports, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a results-driven approach to meet deadlines and compliance objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in KYC, AML, or compliance roles within the financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of KYC processes, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory frameworks related to AML.
- Experience handling high-risk client investigations, including PEP screening and escalation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in managing and analyzing data for reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal teams and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing client information and documentation.
