Mechanical/Civil Pipe Designer (CADWORX)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer proficient in AutoCAD and CADWorx to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing detailed piping and equipment drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This role involves working on light to medium complexity process piping designs, supporting projects from initial concept through detailed design, and contributing to retrofit designs in operational environments. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate piping and equipment drawings using AutoCAD and CADWorx software, adhering strictly to relevant standards and project specifications.
- Perform comprehensive process piping design tasks, including equipment and piping layouts, primarily focusing on light to medium complexity projects.
- Review and verify piping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance, particularly for projects of light to medium complexity.
- Generate detailed fabrication documents and drawings necessary for pipe spool construction.
- Develop and maintain line lists, tie-in lists, and scopes of work to support project execution and coordination.
- Provide design support throughout the lifecycle of small to medium projects, from conceptual stages through to detailed design completion.
- Assist in designing retrofits within congested and operational areas, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety protocols.
- Guarantee that all designs meet safety-in-design requirements and are operable and maintainable over their lifecycle.
- Maintain and enhance proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable design software to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Apply 3D modeling skills using CADWorx to improve design accuracy and visualization.
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Utilize analytical skills to solve design challenges and contribute positively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in producing piping and equipment drawings using AutoCAD and CADWorx software.
- Solid understanding of process piping design principles, including layout and equipment integration for light to medium complexity projects.
- Ability to review and check piping documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Experience in creating fabrication drawings and related documentation for pipe spools.
- Competence in developing line lists, tie-in lists, and scopes of work.
- Familiarity with design requirements related to safety, operability, and maintainability.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design software, with demonstrated 3D modeling experience in CADWorx.
