Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Content Formatting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for standardizing and enhancing the presentation of existing content materials to ensure consistency, clarity, and accessibility. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong command of written English, and the ability to apply content best practices using automated tools and authoring systems. Key Responsibilities
- Standardize formatting across existing content materials by utilizing automated tools to ensure uniformity and professionalism.
- Enforce designated content best practices aimed at improving readability, consistency, and overall user experience.
- Select and apply the appropriate article settings within the authoring system to optimize content presentation and functionality.
- Review and refine articles to guarantee they are accurate, polished, and fully prepared for end-user consumption.
- Format and structure content in accordance with established guidelines, including proper heading hierarchy, use of IDs, and application of alt text to enhance accessibility.
- Utilize callouts effectively, including important notes, step notes, and permission notes, to highlight critical information and instructions.
- Identify and remove any non-standard formatting or colors that may detract from the content’s consistency or accessibility.
- Apply glossary terms and predefined variables consistently throughout the content to maintain terminology accuracy and coherence.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in written English, with exceptional attention to grammar, clarity, and overall language quality.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to manage and manipulate data as needed during the content formatting process.
