Software Engineer - JavaScript

Job Summary
Located in Hyderabad, this role is part of ServiceNow’s Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations team, offering a flexible work environment centered on advancing AI-driven solutions. The team focuses on ServiceNow Impact, a personalized value acceleration platform that helps customers maximize their ServiceNow investments by delivering AI-powered recommendations and expert insights. Engineers in this role work with cutting-edge technologies, including the ServiceNow Next Experience framework and Generative AI capabilities, to build seamless, user-centric applications that improve enterprise workflows. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate extensively across multiple teams, both within development and in other business functions, to gain broad exposure to diverse and fast-evolving product areas. You will address a wide range of technical challenges, including integrating AI and Generative AI technologies, interfacing with third-party tools, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions to unlock their full potential.

Develop high-quality, scalable, and reusable code by following best software engineering practices such as thorough code reviews and comprehensive unit testing. Work closely with product owners, developers, UX designers, product managers, and solution architects to understand detailed requirements. Take full ownership of the software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to automated testing and delivery—ensuring robust and maintainable solutions.

Design and build intuitive software that empowers customers to easily extend and customize functionality to meet their unique business needs. Contribute actively to the design and implementation of new products and features, while continuously improving the existing product suite to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in JavaScript development, with a strong passion for the web platform and a focus on reusability and componentization. A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scalability considerations is essential.

Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue is required. Strong analytical and design skills are necessary, along with the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural and diverse teams. Experience leveraging or critically evaluating AI integration in workflows, decision-making, or problem-solving—including automation and AI-driven insights—is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
