The Software Engineer III, Associate Tech Lead, plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Zinnia’s software platforms. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders to develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery for both internal teams and clients. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior engineers and serving as a technical subject matter expert within the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative and tailored software solutions that meet the needs of Zinnia’s diverse stakeholders.
- Write well-designed, customized, testable, and efficient code across multiple Zinnia platforms.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing software systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment and evolving business requirements with flexibility and agility.
- Work closely with internal teams, global colleagues, and customers to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
- Mentor junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge, fostering professional growth, and promoting best practices.
- Lead architectural design efforts and validate software requirements to ensure robust and scalable platform development.
- Manage priorities effectively, working independently or collaboratively to meet project deadlines and goals.

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in backend development using Java, J2EE, and Spring frameworks within cloud environments.
- Proficiency with NoSQL databases, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills, patience, and eagerness to learn new programming languages and techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (BTech/BE/MCA/MTech/ME), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Experience with Java 8/J2EE programming and streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, DocumentDB, SQL, and MongoDB.
- Competence with frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of SOA/Microservices architecture and RESTful services.
- Experience using development tools such as Git, Maven, and Docker.
