Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Product Specialist with deep expertise in Commercial Lines insurance products to join our Hyderabad team. This role supports the onsite Product Owner by analyzing ISO manuals, managing product backlogs, and ensuring the smooth delivery of commercial lines insurance offerings such as Commercial Property, General Liability, CPP, Inland Marine, Crime, and Umbrella. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams—including QA, business analysts, and IT—to define requirements, validate testing, and drive user acceptance. This position demands strong domain knowledge, analytical capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality insurance solutions within an Agile framework. The role is office-based and requires 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the onsite Product Owner in analyzing product models and ISO manuals, focusing on commercial lines products including rates, rules, and forms.
- Manage the product backlog by documenting detailed requirements, offering clarifications, and defining clear acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop and review comprehensive testing scenarios that ensure thorough test coverage.
- Review QA test results and support business analysts in defining and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios.
- Oversee successful UAT execution and manage defect triage processes efficiently to resolve issues promptly.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and IT teams to finalize requirements, obtain sign-offs, and facilitate user acceptance testing.
- Provide regular progress updates and detailed reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 8 to 12 years of experience as a Business System Analyst within the commercial lines insurance domain.
- Strong expertise in ISO commercial lines product offerings, including rating methodologies and form structures.
- Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience implementing commercial lines products on Guidewire Cloud PolicyCenter.
- Proven track record in managing product backlogs, user story acceptance, and defect triage processes.
- Proficient with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and provide clear progress reporting.
