Key Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:
The Administrative Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payroll processing. Preparation of monthly financial statements, budgets, and detailed financial reports will be a key part of the role. The candidate will also handle tax compliance filings such as GST and TDS, ensuring all statutory requirements are met timely and accurately. Additionally, managing hospital billing, insurance claims, and vendor payments to guarantee prompt processing will be critical to maintaining financial stability.
Administrative Support:
Beyond accounting, this role involves supporting procurement and inventory management to enhance operational efficiency. The candidate will coordinate with various hospital departments to collect and verify financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintaining organized filing systems—both digital and physical—for invoices, receipts, and contracts is essential to facilitate easy retrieval and audit readiness. Furthermore, the Administrative Accountant will assist the HR department with payroll processing and employee reimbursement activities, contributing to smooth human resource operations.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or ICWA are highly preferred, reflecting advanced expertise in accounting principles. A minimum of two years’ experience combining accounting and administrative responsibilities is required. Experience within the healthcare sector will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Tally and MS Excel, is essential for efficient financial management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively are critical for success in this role. Good communication skills in English and the local language are also necessary to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
