Financial Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented financial professional for an onsite, full-time position located in D.H.A. Phase 7, Phase 2 Commercial Area, Defence Housing Authority, Karachi. This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 350,000, commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business analysis, or financial reporting. A strong analytical mindset is essential, with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data to support strategic, data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will analyze financial and operational data to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that enhance business performance. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial forecasts, budgets, and cost variance analyses to guide strategic planning efforts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the use of pivot tables, Power Query, and complex formulas to manipulate and visualize data effectively.

Maintaining data integrity is critical, so the candidate must understand and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes across multiple systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders, including executives and operations personnel.

Additional responsibilities include supporting margin analysis, optimizing working capital, and conducting cost driver analysis to improve financial outcomes. The role also involves working with ERP and reporting tools such as Intacct and Power BI to generate accurate, timely reports that inform business decisions.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of four years’ experience in FP&A, business analysis, or financial reporting roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory, with demonstrated skills in pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas such as INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, and XLOOKUP.

A strong understanding of financial concepts—including margin analysis, working capital management, and cost analysis—is essential. Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost variance analysis is also required. Familiarity with ETL processes is important to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to effectively translate complex financial data for non-financial audiences. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a keen focus on data accuracy and the ability to identify trends or anomalies. Proven collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to data-driven business decisions are also critical.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience with ERP systems such as Intacct and reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL-based platforms will be considered an advantage.
