Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team, specializing in accounting services for international clients based in Canada, the US, and the UK. This full-time, onsite position is located in Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, Lahore. The working hours are from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will independently manage multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong client relationships. The salary range for this role is PKR 200,000 to 250,000, commensurate with experience and interview performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Flow & Financial Management: Take full ownership of cash flow management, budgeting, financial analysis, and the preparation of management reports. You will also be responsible for compiling consolidated financial statements to provide a clear financial overview.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients concerning bookkeeping and tax-related matters. Promptly address client inquiries, communicate deadlines and deliverables clearly, and build trust through consistent and professional communication.
- File Ownership & Quality Control: Manage 10 to 15 client files independently from start to finish. This includes reviewing bookkeeping entries prepared by junior team members, ensuring financial reports are accurate and submitted on time, and finalizing monthly financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements. Maintain organized client documentation and detailed notes.
- Coaching & Oversight of Junior Bookkeepers: Delegate bookkeeping tasks effectively, review junior staff work for accuracy, provide constructive feedback, and support their professional growth. Ensure all junior outputs meet internal quality standards and company SOPs.
- Tax-Related Responsibilities: Prepare and review year-end financial files to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Handle routine client tax queries related to HST/GST submissions, expense deductibility, and sales tax compliance. Stay updated on relevant Canadian, US, and UK tax laws and ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Internal Communication & Strategic Planning: Actively participate in weekly meetings with leadership to provide updates on client files. Contribute ideas to improve standard operating procedures and workflows. Proactively identify and communicate any concerns related to client management or operational inefficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- ACCA qualified, affiliate, or part-qualified with at least nine exams passed, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of four years’ experience providing accounting services to international clients from the UK, US, or Canada.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Xero accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, sales tax, and corporate tax regulations.
- Expertise in bookkeeping, monthly closing processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with a proficiency level of at least 8 out of 10.
Additional Information
This role requires prior experience working with international clients and is strictly onsite in Lahore. Candidates must be available to work from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The offered salary ranges from PKR 200,000 to 250,000 per month, depending on experience and interview performance.
