Job Summary
The Factory Remediation Coordinator will be an integral member of the Remediation Department under the Pakistan Accord, operating from offices in Karachi and Lahore. Reporting directly to the Remediation Department Manager and other designated personnel, this role is essential for managing communication and coordination between Accord-covered factories, responsible brands, and the Pakistan Accord Secretariat. The Coordinator will oversee the entire remediation process, ensuring the timely and effective implementation of safety improvements within the textile and garment industry.

Key Responsibilities
The Coordinator will manage and coordinate remediation activities for assigned factories, guiding the process from initial inspection through to the completion of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs). This includes facilitating clear communication among brands, factories, workers, and Accord staff concerning inspections and CAP implementation.

Maintaining and updating factory-specific data related to inspections and remediation efforts is a critical responsibility, ensuring full compliance with Pakistan Accord policies, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Coordinator will ensure that factories submit CAP updates within established deadlines and will be responsible for uploading inspection reports, CAPs, and all relevant documentation into the Accord’s database.

Collaboration with factories will require providing accurate information, often in consultation with engineering teams. The Coordinator will liaise closely with the Engineering Departments to resolve technical queries related to remediation requirements and timelines. Follow-up with engineering teams is essential to guarantee the timely production and distribution of inspection reports, CAPs, and design-related documents.

Supporting data management and remediation monitoring processes is another key function, including the use of case management tools and trackers to monitor progress. Additional duties may be assigned by the Remediation Department Manager and senior management of both the International and Pakistan Accord.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Science, Social Science, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

Experience with data management systems is important, alongside a solid understanding of the textile and garment industry supply chain. Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety standards in the workplace is necessary, and prior exposure to audits and inspections is preferred. The role demands excellent teamwork capabilities, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and maintain strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
The International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry is a global initiative involving over 200 garment and textile brands and trade unions. Its mission is to improve worker safety through inspections, remediation, training, and complaint mechanisms. Launched in Pakistan in 2023, this program focuses on enhancing workplace safety within the local textile sector.

Health and Safety Accord (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of International Accord BV based in the Netherlands, leads this effort with a commitment to improving health and safety standards in the textile and garment industry. The Factory Remediation Coordinator role offers a dynamic, internationally focused work environment, competitive salary, and fringe benefits aligned with experience. This is a one-year renewable contract based in Karachi, with frequent travel to industrial sites across Pakistan as required.

Applications are invited exclusively from Pakistani nationals. Early applications are encouraged as the position may be filled prior to the closing date of June 22, 2025. Health and Safety Accord (Pvt) Ltd is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
