Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Product Design & Development Team. In this role, you will support the Team Lead in executing Design For Reliability (DFR) activities across multiple projects. Your expertise will be critical in conducting reliability engineering tasks such as reliability allocation, prediction, testing, FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), and FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System). You will work to ensure that all systems meet their mission profile requirements by identifying and mitigating reliability-critical and limiting design elements.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will analyze system designs to determine the optimal configuration for the intended mission profile. This involves identifying critical and limiting components through detailed critical item analyses based on FMECA results. You will prepare comprehensive reports highlighting any reliability deficiencies discovered during these analyses.

You will actively participate as a key member of the design team in various reliability-focused meetings, including Root Cause Analysis sessions, Defect Elimination efforts, Failure Review Board (FRB), and Reliability Review Board meetings. These forums aim to resolve reliability engineering challenges and improve overall system robustness.

Supporting the Team Lead, you will contribute to the development of the Reliability Program Plan by defining clear objectives, tasks, and deliverables aligned with each project phase. Your role also includes providing technical and design guidance on reliability engineering matters under the Team Lead’s direction.

You will monitor and control all reliability program activities, which encompass Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), reliability modeling and prediction, allocation, qualification and acceptance testing, FMECA, and FRACAS processes. Analyzing collected reliability data will be essential to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

Additionally, you will perform Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) calculations to support Quality Assurance efforts and analyze failure trends within the systems to identify areas for enhancement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in Reliability Engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency with reliability engineering standards such as MIL-STD-785B, MIL-STD-756B, MIL-HDBK-338B.
- Familiarity with failure databases including NPRD, EPRD, FMD, MIL-HDBK-217FN2, and NSWC.
- Strong understanding of statistical distributions, particularly Exponential and Weibull models.
- Competent in using Root Cause Analysis tools for investigating equipment failures.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline is advantageous.
- Experience in engineering design and development with proficiency in modern design software such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, AnSys, and Altium Designer.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques is a plus.

This is a full-time, on-site position located at Clifton Block-5, Karachi. The monthly salary range for this role is Rs150,000 to Rs200,000.
