IT Support Administrator

Job Summary
The IT Support Administrator is a vital member of the IT team, responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems. This role focuses on delivering first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and managing IT services that align with the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and a strong commitment to providing efficient, secure, and reliable IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Provide timely first-line technical support to staff and end-users through various channels including ticketing systems, email, phone, and face-to-face interactions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and printers, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices, ensuring all equipment is up-to-date and functioning optimally. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls primarily through Active Directory or comparable systems to maintain secure and appropriate access.

Monitor servers, network devices, and security systems continuously to guarantee peak performance and system integrity. Perform routine system updates, apply necessary patches, and conduct regular backups to safeguard data and maintain system security.

Assist in the deployment and setup of new hardware and software across the organization, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems. Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of IT assets, system configurations, and operational procedures.

Support the enforcement of IT security policies and best practices to protect organizational data from threats. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, contributing technical expertise and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Ensure compliance with all relevant IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates should have proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.

Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems is essential. Experience managing networks, including VPNs, firewalls, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting, is required.

Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization technologies is important. A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices is necessary to maintain a secure IT environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills, combined with strong communication and customer service abilities, are critical. The candidate must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly advantageous.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs80,000 to Rs100,000. The role requires on-site presence at the organization’s work location.
