Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end procurement process for Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) materials and services. The successful candidate will ensure procurement activities are cost-effective, timely, and fully compliant with company policies, technical specifications, and project timelines. This role requires close coordination with multiple departments to support seamless project execution and operational continuity through efficient sourcing and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
CAPEX Procurement:
Lead the procurement of machinery, equipment, tools, and industrial assets in line with project requirements. This includes vendor identification, conducting technical evaluations, and negotiating pricing for Capex items. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Projects, and Finance teams to ensure both technical and commercial alignment. Prepare, review, and finalize Purchase Orders (POs), contracts, and service agreements related to Capex projects.
MRO Procurement:
Manage sourcing and procurement of spare parts, consumables, safety equipment, lubricants, and other MRO materials. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure the timely availability of critical MRO items. Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to avoid operational downtime.
Supplier Management:
Identify, assess, and develop new suppliers to secure competitive pricing, high quality, and excellent service standards. Conduct regular supplier audits and performance evaluations to maintain reliability and compliance.
Cost Optimization:
Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality. Analyze the total cost of ownership (TCO) for high-value purchases to support informed procurement decisions.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and relevant local regulations, including PPRA rules where applicable. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement contracts, technical specifications, and supplier communications.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver integrated procurement solutions. Support project teams in procuring technical services, installation, and commissioning contracts.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (B.E/B.Sc) or an equivalent qualification.
Experience:
4 to 6 years of practical experience in technical procurement, with a focus on Capex and MRO purchasing.
ERP Knowledge:
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics is essential.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills. Solid technical understanding of industrial equipment and spare parts. Familiarity with local and international markets for technical goods. Competence in supplier evaluation and development. Ability to conduct cost analysis and manage budgets effectively. Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Certifications:
Certifications like CIPS, CSCP, or CPIM are advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation: Rs100,000 to Rs130,000 per month
