Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Supply Chain Executive with 1-2 years of experience in an engineering company to join our team on a full-time, 12-month contract. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting production activities. This hands-on position involves procurement, inventory management, logistics, and production support, all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans focused on increasing efficiency and reducing costs. You will oversee logistics and distribution activities, including transportation, warehousing, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet production schedules.

Manage supplier and vendor relationships by negotiating contracts and monitoring their performance to maintain quality and reliability. Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Identify risks related to procurement, logistics, and distribution, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Drive continuous process improvements by applying lean and agile methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

Handle daily Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing, procurement activities, and stock management with accuracy. Regularly analyze costs to identify opportunities for savings and budget optimization.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as procurement, sales, and finance to align supply chain objectives with overall business goals. Utilize technology tools including ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to monitor and improve supply chain performance.

Ensure compliance with legal regulations and promote sustainable, eco-friendly supply chain practices. Manage order processing and procurement fulfillment to meet organizational demands promptly.

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to shipments, purchases, and inventory status. Perform data entry and analysis to support informed decision-making within the supply chain.

Resolve supply chain issues quickly, including delays, damages, and stock discrepancies. Provide customer service support by addressing supply-related inquiries from both customers and internal teams.

Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist supply chain managers in coordinating daily operational tasks.

Support production activities by monitoring daily production, assisting with machine maintenance, cleaning, and managing breakdowns to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

- 1-2 years of experience in an engineering company, preferably in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control, supplier management, and logistics.
- Proficiency with supply chain software such as ERP, WMS, and TMS.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and sustainable supply chain practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address operational challenges swiftly.
- Hands-on experience supporting production activities, including machine maintenance and breakdown management.
