Manager Purchase

Job Summary
The Manager Purchase will lead and oversee the procurement of both local and imported materials, including yarn, fabric, dyes, chemicals, parts, accessories, and general items. This role demands a deep understanding of domestic and international markets to efficiently source products that meet the company’s quality and cost standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and production requirements. Key duties include negotiating supplier contracts, maintaining robust vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Additionally, the Manager Purchase will supervise the procurement team, evaluate vendor performance, and maintain accurate procurement records within the company’s ERP system. The role also involves analyzing market trends to forecast procurement needs and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth and compliant procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for yarn, fabric, dyes, chemicals, parts, accessories, and other general items from both local and international suppliers.
- Continuously monitor and stay updated on procurement markets within Pakistan and abroad to identify sourcing opportunities and risks.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with company objectives and production targets.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions that benefit the organization.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to guarantee cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery of materials.
- Oversee the tracking of requisitions and ensure procurement activities are completed within agreed timelines.
- Efficiently manage the workload and performance of procurement team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular evaluations of vendor performance, maintaining comprehensive records to inform decision-making.
- Maintain accurate procurement data and documentation in the company’s ERP and other software systems, adhering strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze market trends and data to anticipate future procurement needs and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, finance, and other departments to facilitate seamless procurement operations.
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, SOPs, and procurement procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably within the textile manufacturing sector, with a strong track record at a managerial level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of markets related to yarn, fabrics, parts, and associated materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
