Job Summary
Unity Films Pvt. Ltd., a forward-thinking company in the Film & Digital Media sector, is looking to hire a talented WordPress & Shopify Developer to join its growing digital team based in Rawalpindi. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using both WordPress and Shopify platforms. This includes creating custom themes, plugins, and components tailored to meet specific project needs. On the Shopify side, the developer will enhance storefronts by working with Liquid templating, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. They will also implement API integrations and third-party tools to expand platform capabilities.

Regular site audits will be conducted to ensure websites perform optimally, maintain SEO best practices, and are fully responsive across devices. Collaboration is key, as the developer will work closely with creative and marketing teams to ensure development efforts align with business objectives. Writing clean, well-documented, and scalable code that adheres to modern development standards is essential.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A minimum of one year of professional experience in WordPress and Shopify development is required. Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL is essential.

Experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development is expected, along with a strong understanding of Shopify’s Liquid templating system and API structure. Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git, is necessary. The candidate should have a solid grasp of performance optimization techniques, basic SEO principles, and mobile-first design approaches.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills are critical. The ideal developer will be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of managing their workload independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with WooCommerce or Shopify Plus platforms will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery is a plus. Exposure to JAMstack, headless CMS architectures, or modern frontend workflows is desirable.
