Tekla Detailer

Job Summary
CityTechGroup is seeking a skilled and motivated Steel Structure Detailer to join our engineering team in Lahore, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the structural steel industry with a solid understanding of detailing processes for fabrication and erection. While 2 to 4 years of experience is preferred, candidates with less experience but strong technical skills and relevant project exposure will also be considered. This full-time, office-based position offers the opportunity to work on significant projects within a collaborative and technically focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
The Steel Structure Detailer will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed models of steel structures using Tekla Structures or AutoCAD, based on engineers’ design and arrangement drawings. This includes incorporating connections according to engineering calculations and established detailing standards. The role involves producing comprehensive fabrication and erection drawings, such as general arrangement and assembly drawings, ensuring they meet project specifications.

Additionally, the detailer will prepare detailed information packages for fabrication, including CAM data and material lists. Close collaboration with Project and Contract teams is essential to resolve design issues and respond to technical queries promptly. The candidate must be adept at interpreting structural and architectural drawings, design reports, and specifications with precision.

Ensuring all drawings comply with project deadlines, quality standards, and client requirements is critical. The role also demands maintaining meticulous documentation of drawing submissions, revisions, and approvals to support project tracking and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in steel structure detailing is preferred, with proficiency in Tekla Structures highly desirable. Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office applications is also required.

A strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes is essential, along with experience in detailing from design team drawings and preparing workshop-ready fabrication packages. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate efficiently with engineers, architects, and site teams. Familiarity with current industry standards, regulations, and codes is expected. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management are crucial for success in this role.
