Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cybersecurity Trainer/Instructor to join our team on a part-time, onsite basis in Garden Town, Lahore. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of professional cybersecurity experience and a passion for teaching. This role requires delivering in-depth training programs that equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in cybersecurity or freelance consulting. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong instructional abilities to mentor and guide students effectively.
Key Responsibilities
The Cybersecurity Trainer will design and deliver a comprehensive training curriculum covering essential cybersecurity domains. Core topics include network security, threat mitigation, ethical hacking, penetration testing, cryptography, risk management, security compliance, incident response, digital forensics, and security considerations for cloud computing and IoT environments.
Hands-on training is a critical component of this role. The instructor will use real-world simulations, case studies, and lab exercises to provide practical experience. Students will be taught to operate key cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Kali Linux, and Metasploit.
Additionally, the trainer will help students prepare for industry-recognized certifications including CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, and CISM. Monitoring and evaluating student progress through practical assessments, projects, and assignments will ensure learning objectives are met.
Mentorship extends beyond technical skills; the trainer will assist students in building professional portfolios and crafting resumes tailored to cybersecurity roles or freelance opportunities. Staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and industry trends is essential to keep training content relevant and impactful.
Creating a positive and supportive learning environment is vital. The trainer will address individual student needs, encourage career development, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in securing systems and networks. A deep understanding of security frameworks, protocols, and tools is required. Practical expertise in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and risk management is essential.
Familiarity with security compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and PCI DSS is necessary. Strong communication and presentation skills are critical, as the role involves mentoring and inspiring students to achieve their potential.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Holding relevant industry certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM will be advantageous. Previous experience in teaching or training is highly desirable.
This position offers competitive part-time compensation, with pay up to Rs90,000 per month. The role is based onsite, providing an opportunity to work in a dynamic and engaging learning environment located in Garden Town, Lahore.
