Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting financial reporting and reconciliation activities. The position is full-time and requires in-person attendance at our office. Key Responsibilities
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure all financial records are accurate and current. Daily financial transactions must be recorded promptly and with great attention to detail. Regular reconciliation of bank statements and vendor accounts is crucial to uphold data accuracy.
Processing invoices, expense vouchers, and payments efficiently is a key part of the role. The candidate will prepare aging reports for accounts receivable and actively follow up with clients to ensure timely collections. Equally important is the prompt settlement of dues to suppliers, which helps maintain strong vendor relationships.
The Bookkeeper will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes to guarantee accurate financial reporting. Maintaining and analyzing budgets and forecasts will also be part of the responsibilities, aiding in effective financial planning.
Additionally, the role involves performing reconciliations across various accounts, including bank accounts, vendors (accounts payable), customers (accounts receivable), inventory, intercompany transactions, and the general ledger.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in bookkeeping and maintaining financial records. A strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes is essential. The ability to prepare and analyze financial reports and statements accurately is required.
Proficiency in bank and ledger reconciliations is necessary, along with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills. The candidate should be capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and meeting deadlines consistently. Comfort with working in an in-person office environment is also required.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with budgeting and forecasting is highly advantageous, as is familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures. We offer a competitive salary ranging from Rs50,000 to Rs65,000 per month, reflecting the importance of this role within our organization.
