Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and articulate Technical Customer Support Representative to join our team. This role focuses on managing the over-the-phone deployment, configuration, and rollout of a Point of Sale (POS) solution tailored for local businesses. The position shares similarities with roles such as Technical Support Specialists, Implementation Specialists, or Onboarding Specialists within the POS industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless setup and adoption of our POS system, delivering exceptional customer service and technical guidance throughout the entire process.

Key Responsibilities

Setup and Configuration: You will guide business owners or their staff through the installation and configuration of the POS system, covering both hardware and software components. This includes customizing the POS setup to meet each business’s unique requirements, such as product catalogs, tax rates, and payment processing preferences.

Training: Conduct comprehensive training sessions over the phone to ensure business staff fully understand how to operate the system. This includes explaining essential features like inventory management, sales tracking, and reporting tools to empower users.

Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues during deployment. You will verify connectivity and ensure peripheral devices such as receipt printers, scanners, and card readers function correctly.

Account Activation: Assist businesses in completing account setup for various features, including payment gateways and loyalty programs. You will ensure that licenses or subscriptions related to the POS solution are properly activated and ready for use.

Post-Deployment Support: Act as the primary contact for any follow-up issues or requests related to system optimization. After successful deployment, you will facilitate a smooth transition of clients to the ongoing customer support team.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in technical support, implementation, or onboarding roles, ideally within the POS or retail technology sectors.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts over the phone.
- Familiarity with POS hardware and software components, including peripheral devices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Capability to deliver effective training and support to end-users with diverse technical backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
