Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Intern to join our Accounts & Finance department. This full-time internship offers a valuable opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience in financial operations and accounting processes. The successful candidate will support daily accounting activities such as bank and cash reconciliations, managing receipts and payments, and assisting with financial reporting. This role provides hands-on exposure to various accounting functions and ERP software, playing a key part in the company’s financial management and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily bank reconciliations by reviewing company bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct cash reconciliations in coordination with the cashier and verify cash balances held by the Accounts Executive.
- Process customer bank receipts, including checks and online fund transfers, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
- Record accruals related to expenses regularly and manage purchase orders for fixed assets.
- Book petty cash expenses and reconcile advances provided to the administration team to maintain financial control.
- Maintain organized filing systems for daily reports such as cash and bank reconciliations and vouchers for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Handle payments in cash and checks for both local and foreign vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Liaise with banks to obtain bank statements and other necessary banking documents promptly.
- Prepare daily funds management reports to assist in financial planning and support decision-making processes.
- Generate bank receipts and payment sheets to monitor monthly sales and expenses effectively.
- Record sales orders related to acrylic sheet fabrication, including invoice accruals and adjustment entries to maintain accurate sales records.
- Verify and prepare bills for wallpaper pasting and floor fixation jobs based on work orders and job completion, booking accruals accordingly.
- Compile summaries of local purchases for record-keeping and financial tracking.
- Prepare monthly bank statements, register purchases, and issue sales tax invoices as required by regulatory standards.
- Maintain daily inventory records to support stock management and accounting accuracy.
- Perform monthly closing adjustments and entries to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Accrue monthly utility expenses, including electricity, PTCL, internet, water, mobile bills, and staff fuel expenses, to reflect true operational costs.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external parties.
- Basic knowledge of ERP software is essential to manage accounting tasks efficiently.
- Ideal for fresh graduates eager to start their career in accounting and finance, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
