The Department of Radiology at AKUH offers state-of-the-art imaging services, including 3T MRI, 640-slice CT, mammography, bone density scans, nuclear imaging, and interventional radiology procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Assist faculty members and residents during ultrasound and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring all patient records and documentation are accurate and readily available.
- Review and verify radiology requests, operate ultrasound equipment, and strictly adhere to safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Ensure procedure rooms are clean, organized, and compliant with hospital standards at all times.
- Escort patients through their procedures, provide clear verbal instructions, and measure vital signs as necessary to support patient care.
- Assist with patient care tasks, including managing bedpans and urinals when required, to maintain patient comfort and hygiene.
- Accurately log all procedures, manage ultrasound films and reports, and efficiently schedule patient appointments to optimize departmental workflow.
- Perform front desk duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the radiology department.
- Be prepared to work after hours or overnight shifts when required, and undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by supervisors to meet departmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Matriculation (secondary school education).
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
